It was a spectacular event. The who’s who of the European camping industry celebrated the PiNCAMP Gala 2026 and the winners of this year’s PiNCAMP Awards and ANWB Awards at the Friedrichsbau in Stuttgart. Dominic Cloudt from Germany was also honored with the Young Talent Award, and Camping Ambassador Lidija Koren from Slovenia was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Well deserved: Lidija Koren inducted into the Hall of Fame

The highlight of the awards ceremony was the induction of Slovenian Camping Ambassador Lidija Koren into the Hall of Fame. In his laudatory speech, Uwe Frers, CEO of PiNCAMP, praised Lidija Koren’s lifetime achievements and her contributions to the development of sustainable camping tourism in Slovenia and Europe.

 

Young Talent: Dominic Cloudt

This award recognizes young people up to 35 years of age who have made outstanding contributions to the camping industry. This year, the Young Talent Award goes to German camping entrepreneur Dominic Cloudt. The selection of the winner was conducted with the participation of several camping associations. Uwe Frers thanked FNHPA from France, Faita from Italy, BVCD from Germany, KUH from Croatia, FCC from Spain and Hiswa-Recron from the Netherlands for their valuable support.

At the beginning of the gala, the ANWB Awards recognized the best family campsites and the best small campsites in the Netherlands and Europe. These awards were determined by a vote among users of anwbcamping.nl.

 

Winner in the category Best Small Campsite in the Netherlands:

Camping Zwinderen, Zwinderen, The Netherlands

Winner in the category Best Small Campsite Abroad:

Camping Domaine La Libaudié, France

This tiny campsite (only six pitches) is nestled within a 14-hectare estate in the Tarn Valley. At La Libaudié, time seems to slow down: Relax in a hammock under fruit trees, take a refreshing dip in the small pool, or stroll to the nearby Tarn River for a swim in nature. In the evenings, enjoy homemade food and regional wines in the cozy bar. Pure tranquility!

Winner in the category Best Family Friendly Campsite in the Netherlands:

Vakantiepark Beerze Bulten, Beerze, The Netherlands

An international panel of camping experts selected the winners and nominees of the PiNCAMP Awards from hundreds of submissions from the camping industry. Uwe Frers, Managing Director of PiNCAMP (https://www.pincamp.de), emphasizes the importance of the PiNCAMP Awards for the camping industry: “With the PiNCAMP Awards, we honor the trendsetters of the European camping industry. This award is as prestigious for the camping industry as the Oscars are for the film industry.” The announcement of the winners of the PiNCAMP Awards 2026 was presented by CrippaConcept. CrippaConcept is the largest manufacturer of mobile homes and lodge tents in Italy and an official partner of the PiNCAMP Gala.

 

Winner in the category “Sustainability and Environmental Awareness”:

De Lemeler Esch Natuurcamping, The Netherlands

De Lemeler Esch Natuurcamping is located in the Dutch region of Overijssel and is committed to maintaining a balance between nature, recreation, and agriculture. Here, investments are made in a sustainable guest experience as well as in the preservation and enrichment of the natural environment. Innovative energy solutions, such as compost heating via a bio-digester that heats the outdoor pool, and the conversion of parts of the site into areas for nature conservation and increased biodiversity, are continuously being implemented.

Union Lido Mare, Italy
