About the ANWB Campsite of the Year Award

The best campsites in the Netherlands and Europe chosen by more than 23,000 campers  from 58 nominated campsites.

The campsites are nominated by a professional jury in three different categories both in the Netherlands and in Europe.
This year’s categories are as follows:

Category #1: The Most Enjoyable Family Campsite with Swimming Pool and Water Games

Within the category ‘Most Enjoyable Family Campsite’,this year ANWB jury chose the theme ‘Swimming Pool and Water Games’.
At these campsites, campers can swim and play with water to their heart’s content. The quality and execution of all water fun are of a high level.
The campsites have at least 4.5 ANWB stars, a restaurant, rental accommodations, playgrounds and entertainment for children.

Category #2: The Best Small Campsite

Small but beautiful: these are the campsites with less than sixty pitches. Characteristic of these campsites are their natural location and the personal attention and service of the owners. They are usually not the campsites with numerous, luxurious facilities, but you can expect quality. These campsites can usually be found in surprising places.

The days of standard cottages are over. Safari tents, teepees, tents on stilts and luxury chalets; Rental accommodation is becoming more attractive and sustainable. Sometimes even with bathrooms and kitchens that you secretly wish you had at home. You would almost forget that you are just at the campsite!

Young Talent Awards 2024

ANWB Camping, in cooperation with Jong RECRON, presented the Young Talent Award for the first time this year; an incentive prize for driven young talent in the camping industry.

This year’s winning talents were chosen by the independent professional jury for their inspiring vision, creativity and innovative capacity.

These are the Young Talents of 2024 in the Netherlands and across the border:
